Overview
Join our team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) Company Truck Driver and experience the thrill of long-haul freight transportation across diverse routes. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailer to deliver container freight efficiently and safely to multiple destinations across the Southeastern United States. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional driving team committed to excellence and customer satisfaction. We service the state of Georgia and the southeastern United States, with some consistent routes going to Nevada, Oklahoma, and more. Our home terminal is in Pooler, GA, with many round trip lanes allowing you to be back home most days.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with manual or automatic transmissions across both shorter and more extensive routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, ensuring timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency and route planning.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checks on brakes, tires, lights, and load securement.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum two years driving experience.
- Proficiency in operating manual or automatic trucks.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and vehicle maintenance.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch teams and clients.
- Hazmat and tank endorsements preferred, with additional pay applied to those runs
