SUMMARY:

Provides assistance to Pool Manager in monitoring Pool facilities ensuring positive and friendly customer relations, observing activity within assigned areas offering assistance and instruction to guests/visitors, while performing Lifeguard duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Resolve pool guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Manage pool area to include setting up facilities and equipment, assigning guard duty rotations, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons and staff.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned pool area.
  • Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Executive Housekeeper.
  • Maintain pool Inventory.
  • Perform as a Lifeguard, when applicable.
  • Maintain and follow OSHA Regulations/MSDS.
  • Supervise the Pool Staff.
  • Any additional tasks and/or duties as assigned by property management.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, including abiding to uniform requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs and provides Lifeguards daily information and guidance.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1 year or season of experience as a Lifeguard

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Lifeguard Certification

CPR/AED/First Aid

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
