We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Associate for our Packaging department. In this role, you will be responsible for pulling, wrapping, and labeling products, ensuring they meet quality standards before being dispatched. You will also be required to perform manual labor and maintain a clean work environment. Family owned company that builds custom staircases and cabinets. Great work-life balance schedule on day shift. No weekends!
Responsibilities
- Use the computer to pull up daily orders.
- Understand all parts of a stair and rail, and be able to identify them.
- Pull the respective product needed for the order.
- Wrap product using tape, bubble wrap, plastic sleeves, etc.
- Carefully place product on carts and label them
- Place carts in the proper location for the loading department.
- Read and understand tags for proper color or product.
- Identify and differentiate various colors.
- Perform a final quality check before the product goes out the door.
- Differentiate between finished and unfinished products and wrap accordingly.
- Perform manual labor relevant to the department, such as pushing and pulling carts with products.
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The shop is very clean, and employees are required to clean their areas both before and at the end of the day. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
