Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 + Bonus Potential

We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our Houston team in a hybrid capacity. You will lead tax engagements, mentor junior staff, and serve as a primary contact for a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities
- Engagement Leadership: Lead and manage tax compliance engagements for corporations (C-Corp, S-Corp), partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Review & Preparation: Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax legislation.
- Tax Planning: Research and develop strategic tax planning techniques and projections to optimize client financial positions.
- Team Mentorship: Supervise, train, and provide technical guidance to staff associates and interns.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and assisting with IRS or state tax notices.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Taxation is a plus.
- Certification: Active CPA license preferred, or currently pursuing/eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
- Skills: Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystems, or ProSystem fx) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Attributes: Strong analytical skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
