John C. Cassidy is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Key responsibilities include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within the finance team

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
- Collaborate directly with the audit team, prepare & provide the schedule as requested by the auditors
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes
- Prepare and upload historical financial records for new acquisitions
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Prepare supporting schedules and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist with payroll analysis, job costing and operating expense analysis
- Monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying discrepancies and recommending improvements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and timely
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
- 5-7 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CPA license preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
