Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and learning abilities
- Patience, adaptability, and commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere
- Capability to implement instructions from certified teaching staff and follow school procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students, ensuring understanding and engagement with classroom activities
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and organizing the learning environment
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social development, both inside the classroom and during transitions
- Monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback as needed
- Implement accommodations and modifications according to student support plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of student participation and progress
- Foster respectful, inclusive interactions among all students
