Job DescriptionSeeking Pediatric Travel Perfusionist (High-Acuity Academic Center)
Prestige's hospital in Baltimore, Maryland needs your help with coverage. (13-Weeks) Immediate start
Join a world-renowned pediatric congenital heart program in Baltimore. This department is recognized for its commitment to patient safety. You will work in a high-volume environment handling complex neonatal and pediatric repairs, heart/lung transplants, and 24/7 ECMO coverage.
Role & Responsibilities
- Clinical Excellence: Operate extracorporeal and blood testing equipment for a diverse range of pediatric cases, including complex congenital repairs.
- Safety-First Culture: Collaborate within a dual-perfusionist team to ensure the highest standards of real-time patient monitoring and machine operation.
- Acuity Management: Manage IABP, VAD, and ECMO systems for Level IV NICU and pediatric patients.
Schedule & On-Call
- Hours: Full-time, variable shifts (40 hours/week).
- On-Call: Expected rotation of 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month.
- Flexibility: Rotating schedule including days, evenings, and holidays.
Candidate Requirements
- Certification: Current Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) status.
- Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for a Maryland State Perfusionist License.
- Experience: Proven expertise in Neonatal and Pediatric circuits is required.
- Education: Graduate of an ABCP-accredited cardiovascular training program.
