Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot electrical problems in a timely manner.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
- Valid electrician's license and/or certification in the state of Illinois.
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
