Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee all operational aspects of our underground utility construction projects. This senior leadership role will manage our growing portfolio of projects from our corporate headquarters, focusing on strategic oversight, resource optimization, and organizational excellence rather than daily on-site supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate multiple underground utility construction projects simultaneously
- Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies across all operations
- Lead a team of project managers, superintendents, and administrative personnel
- Create and monitor operational KPIs to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction
- Optimize resource allocation including personnel, equipment, and materials across all projects
- Establish and enforce quality control standards for all construction activities
- Analyze business processes and implement improvements to maximize efficiency
- Drive strategic planning for business development and market expansion
- Oversee risk management, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
Requirements
- MBA or Master's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in underground utility construction management
- Strong understanding of infrastructure construction methods and techniques
- Experience with financial management, budgeting, and cost control
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (FDEP, FDOT, local municipalities)
- PMP certification preferred
Physical Requirements
- Position is office-based with limited field visits (90% office / 10% field)
- Structured work environment with predictable schedule

- Starting salary: $180,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
