Position Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in an acute care or outpatient hospital setting. This role requires experience operating Siemens MRI equipment and the ability to independently perform a wide range of non-cardiac MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and adherence to clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities

Perform MRI examinations including routine neuro, body, and musculoskeletal studies

Safely operate Siemens MRI scanners following established protocols

Prepare patients for procedures, including screening, positioning, and education

Ensure patient safety in the MRI environment, including adherence to MRI safety standards

Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to patient needs

Administer contrast agents as required and within scope of practice

Maintain accurate documentation and exam records in the electronic medical record

Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal imaging outcomes

Maintain MRI suite cleanliness, equipment readiness, and supply inventory

Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and infection control policies

Required Qualifications
-
Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience

ARRT (MR) certification required
-
Current AHA BLS certification
-
Demonstrated experience with Siemens MRI scanners

Ability to work independently during mid-shift hours

Strong attention to detail and patient safety
Preferred Qualifications
-
Acute care hospital or high-volume imaging center experience
-
Prior travel or contract assignment experience
