We are looking for a licensed Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in the State of Pennsylvania to join our patient-centered orthodontic team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Orthodontist to deliver high-quality care, assist during procedures, and guide patients throughout their treatment. Compensation:
$25 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for patient appointments and maintain a smooth clinical workflow
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments according to safety protocols
- Take diagnostic records and perform iTero scans
- Assist the Orthodontist during orthodontic procedures
- Independently carry out prescribed treatments within the EFDA scope
- Educate patients on treatment progress and care instructions
- Facilitate clear communication between the Orthodontist and patients
- Build strong, positive relationships with patients and families
Qualifications:
- Current EFDA license in the State of Pennsylvania (required)
- Minimum 2 years of dental or orthodontic assisting experience (orthodontics preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and clinical accuracy
- Excellent chairside manners and patient communication skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with problem-solving ability
- Adaptable to fast-paced environments
