Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an immediate impact this summer working with K-12 students as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting. Located near Dorchester, MA, this contract opportunity runs from July 1 through July 30, offering flexibility for full or part-time hours across a 4-day work week. You’ll collaborate with educators and other therapists to support students’ physical development and help them achieve their goals.
Candidates should bring strong pediatric experience and a passion for making a difference in the lives of school-aged children. The pay for this position ranges from $55–$60 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active and valid MA Physical Therapy License (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong ability to work with K-12 students across diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset and flexibility within collaborative environments
Your Role Will Include:
- Evaluating students’ physical therapy needs and developing individualized treatment plans
- Delivering direct therapy services according to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Documenting session outcomes and progress notes thoroughly and timely
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists
- Adjusting therapeutic techniques to fit age and developmental level
- Providing recommendations to staff and families for classroom modifications or home exercises
