We are looking for a dedicated Charge Nurse to join our team at Glenwood Village Care Center! In this key role, you’ll provide professional nursing care tailored to each resident’s needs, in line with our care center’s philosophy, policies, and gerontological standards.

Position Summary:
Glenwood Retirement Village is seeking a reliable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on nursing care, monitor resident well-being, and contribute to a supportive and high-quality care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care & Implementation:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with the resident’s plan of care, following the nursing process of observation, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer medications and treatments as ordered and document care accurately.
- Direct Resident Support:
- Monitor resident conditions and promptly report any changes. Assist with rehabilitation and preventative care, and ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are supported with dignity and respect.
- Communication & Advocacy:
- Establish and maintain open, respectful communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff. Provide education, reassurance, and guidance to support resident well-being and independence.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work cooperatively with nursing assistants, fellow nurses, and leadership staff to promote a cohesive, supportive care environment. Participate in staff meetings, training, and efforts to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Other Duties as Assigned:
- Additional responsibilities may be required as part of the day-to-day operations of resident care.
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota LPN license in good standing
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to recognize and respond to changes in resident condition
- Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Understanding of nursing regulations and quality standards
- Ability to pass a state-mandated background check
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Physical capability to perform essential job duties
