Duties
- Safely operate box trucks, personal vehicles, or commercial trucks to deliver goods to residential and commercial locations
- Load and unload merchandise using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment, following safe lifting practices
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or route navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries
- Follow traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling guidelines at all times
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction at every delivery
- Keep accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safe, reliable operation
Experience
- Warehouse experience is a plus
- Proven delivery driving experience with knowledge of commercial driving standards and safety protocols
- Familiarity with box trucks, manual transmission vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus
- Experience with manual handling, moving heavy loads, or load/unload procedures in a warehouse or delivery setting
- Solid understanding of traffic laws and DOT regulations, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency
- Strong, clear, and professional customer service skills
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation
