Youll be the boots-on-the-ground expert ensuring construction projects run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. If youre ready to lead, collaborate, and make a real impact, we want you on our team!
What Youll Do
- Managing day-to-day engineering and project oversight for FHWA construction projects
- Collaborating with federal officials, agencies, landowners, and contractors
- Ensuring compliance with specs, safety standards, and environmental regulations
- Documenting progress, testing materials, and analyzing schedules
- Responding to off-duty emergencies and supporting multi-shift operations
What You Bring
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Experience working with contractors, agencies, and the public
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and file management systems
- Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA standards, and environmental oversight
- Ability to work in varied terrain and weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stay active on-site
Ideal Candidate Profile
Valid drivers license AND one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Management + 5 years of lead project experience
- 10 years of highway/bridge construction experience, including 6 years as a Project or Resident Engineer
