Position Overview

The Cosmetology Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in cosmetology, including topics such as hair cutting, styling, coloring, skin care, and makeup application.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Teach cosmetology courses, including hair cutting, styling, coloring, skin care, and makeup application
• Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet industry standards and ensure comprehensive student learning
• Conduct hands-on demonstrations and practical exams to assess student skills
• Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students
• Ensure a well-organized, safe, and professional learning environment for students

Qualifications

• Current Instructor License in Washington, DC. (required)
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in cosmetology (required)
• Prior teaching experience (preferred)
• Strong ability to engage, motivate, and support students in their learning journey
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Salary and Benefits

This role is temporary. Compensation will be in the form of a daily rate of $150.00 - $175.00. Full-Time Temporary employees receive four (4) hours of sick leave for every ten (10) days of time worked, up to three (3) days.
