Instrumentation & Control Startup Technician 3
3 Year Contract (On Site)
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety rules and promote a strong safety culture.
- Execute project startup and commissioning activities per Startup Leads/Site Manager direction.
- Support startup budget and schedule management.
- Document results, develop punch lists, and prepare turnover packages.
- Implement startup procedures and ensure quality requirements are met.
- Identify installation issues, recommend solutions, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Perform point-to-point checkout, loop testing, yellow-lining, and daily startup coordination.
Requirements:
- 10+ years related experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, and LOTO procedures.
- Broad understanding of fossil power plants, major equipment/systems, and I&C logic.
- Ability to read/interpret drawings, P&IDs, operations manuals, and DCS configurations.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and time management skills.
