Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a 24-bed ICU.
• Manage invasive monitoring devices, including central and arterial lines, and assist with rapid sequence intubations and bronchoscopy procedures.
• Administer and monitor complex therapies such as ventilator management, vasopressor administration, and restraint protocols.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and maintain detailed documentation through EPIC systems.
• Adhere to staffing schedules that include straight night shifts or a 50/50 split, with a requirement of three weekend shifts in a four-week period.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Utah RN license required at time of submission.
• Minimum of 1-2 years ICU experience, with a preference for cardiac nursing expertise.
• Proficiency in critical care nursing procedures, including arterial line placement, central line insertions, and advanced airway management.
• Current ACLS certification mandatory.
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment, with an outgoing and cooperative demeanor.

• Unit staffing includes a ratio of 1:2 patients, with adjustments for higher acuity such as 1:1 for invasive procedures and sitters.
• Support from unit secretaries and tech staff available during day shifts.
• Dress code requires Caribbean Blue scrubs.
