A healthcare facility on the California Central Coast is seeking skilled pharmacists to fill multiple contract positions in an inpatient setting. This opportunity offers a chance to contribute to patient care through medication management and clinical pharmacy services in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying and processing medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to protocols
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to provide medication consultations and optimize pharmacotherapy
- Performing pharmacokinetic evaluations and other clinical duties essential to patient care
- Utilizing pharmacy information systems, including Cerner and Omnicell, to manage medication distribution and documentation
Schedule Options:
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
- Seven days on, seven days off night shifts (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license
- A minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication within a multidisciplinary team
