Salary Range: $67,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient and organized management of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Manage inventory of tooling, including tracking usage, repairs, and replacement needs, and maintaining accurate records.
- Supervise and mentor tool room personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the tool room environment.
- Coordinate and schedule tool maintenance, repair, and calibration activities to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production and engineering departments to ensure timely availability and proper functioning of necessary tooling.
- Procure new tooling and materials, managing vendor relationships and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain and improve tool room equipment and machinery, ensuring proper functioning and preventative maintenance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in a tool room environment, including hands-on machining, tool repair, and preventative maintenance.
- Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, molds, dies, and related manufacturing processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a technical team.
- Proficiency in inventory management, stock control, and procurement of tooling and spare parts.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and the ability to ensure tooling meets strict specifications.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC machining principles is often a plus.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- - Certification in inventory management or supply chain logistics
- - Familiarity with predictive maintenance strategies for tooling
- - Basic understanding of CAD software for tool design review
