We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse and Distribution Manager to join our team at our facility in VirginiaRole OverviewThe Warehouse and Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing and actively engaging in all shipping, receiving, truck loading, order packaging, and general warehouse functions. This role ensures that products are handled safely and efficiently to meet customer expectations while maintaining operational standardsKey ResponsibilitiesLogistics & Operational CoordinationCollaborate with the Logistics department to ensure the correct quantity of products is prepared for shipment by established deadlinesPlan and book shipments to meet customer delivery expectations while staying within the expense budgetUtilize the ERP system to monitor and prepare for all outbound and inbound shipmentsPlan and oversee truck loading to ensure it is completed safely, timely, and securelyInventory & Quality ControlEnsure all customer orders are packed neatly and accurately according to company standardsMonitor levels of packaging supplies and equipment to ensure they are adequate and operational at all timesConduct regular inventory cycle counts to maintain accuracyTeam Leadership & DevelopmentRecruit, certify, and train staff membersConduct performance appraisals and identify specific training needs for the teamFoster a collaborative environment and be a true "team player"Safety & ComplianceNotify the Plant Manager of any safety, process, or product issuesRead, understand, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rulesOperate machinery using required protective equipment and maintain all necessary certificationsQualificationsExperience: 7+ years of experience in distribution and warehousingLeadership: 4+ years of experience leading and managing a teamTechnical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP databasesCertifications: Forklift certified with experience operating various types, including propane/sit-down, electric order picker, electric single reach, and stand-up counterbalancedSoft Skills: Collaborative, able to follow direction independently, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to bend, stand, and walk throughout the duration of the shiftMust wear steel-toe, non-slip shoesBenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:Performance-based BonusHealth, Dental, and Vision insuranceShort-term and Long-term disability coverageLife Insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off, including Vacation, Sick leave, and Holidays
