Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language therapy services within a K-12 school setting, supporting students from early childhood through young adulthood. Working onsite for 35 hours per week during the 26-27 school year, you will engage directly with students and educational teams to foster communication development and enhance learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver targeted speech-language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation assessments to identify student needs.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports reflecting assessment findings and observations.
- Work comfortably with students aged 2 to 22 years with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Develop and maintain individualized education program (IEP) objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, educators, and support staff to communicate student progress and identify areas for additional support.
Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for an Indiana Professional License for Speech-Language Pathology (IPLA) as well as a teachers license from the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE).
- Preferably possess 1 to 2 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, ideally within a school environment.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving abilities in dynamic educational settings.
