Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathology role is available for the 2025-2026 school year, serving students in grades K-12 within a school setting located in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This contract position requires on-site presence and is ideal for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), including Clinical Fellows (CFs) with supervision provided.
Responsibilities include delivering speech and language services to a diverse student population across varying grade levels. Assignments typically involve working at one campus, with caseloads ranging from preschool (VPK) to high school. Priority positions include:
- VPK to 8th grade caseload: Full-time service at one site with an emphasis on PK to 5th grade and servicing off-site Head Start programs.
- Middle School: Caseload includes students with InD (Intellectual Disabilities) units and requires sole SLP coverage onsite.
- High School: Full-time starting January with varied specialized units such as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disorder), InD, and Medically Fragile students.
- K-8 Site: Part-time schedule (2 days/week) with one SLP and one SLPA onsite full-time, specializing in DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) clusters.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida licensure as an SLP or SLPA.
- Open to clinical fellows and SLPAs with supervision as per requirements.
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Hours are approximately 37.5 per week for full-time, with part-time options available depending on assignment.
