Once Upon a Childcare is seeking an experienced Infant Teacher to join our team!
Address: 2110 Vickers Dr.


Responsibilities:

  • Create a weekly lesson plan suitable for the children in your care.
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other
  • Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a carefully constructed curriculum (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.).
  • Track children's progress and report to parents
  • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background
  • Collaborate with other educators.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
  • Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential system
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Ability to act as a mediator between children
  • Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
  • Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
