Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
A K-12 school in Henrico, VA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students with speech and language needs during the upcoming school year. This is a contract position designed to provide specialized services to pediatric learners in an educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLP candidates, or appropriate licensure for SLPAs
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably within school or healthcare environments
- Eligibility or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for SLP applicants
- Familiarity with therapeutic interventions tailored to school-aged children (K-12)
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Location:
- Henrico, VA, serving students across kindergarten through 12th grade
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a range of communication disorders
- Monitor and document student progress in accordance with school policies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with educational staff
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing special education services
