A reputable large hospital with over 300 beds is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join their inpatient team in the Boston area. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential pharmacy services during the night shift, with a potential to transition to a permanent role.
Location:
- Newton, MA (Boston Area)
Schedule:
- Night shift: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Duration:
- 13 weeks with the possibility to extend or convert to a permanent position
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within the inpatient hospital setting
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
- Review and verify drug orders for safety and appropriateness
- Counsel patients and medical staff on medication regimens when necessary
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license required
- Experience or interest in hospital inpatient pharmacy
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
