Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel contract at a Level I Trauma academic medical center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This role offers a steady day-shift schedule, collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work on advanced neuro and body IR procedures in a comprehensive stroke center.

Facility: 885-bed Level I Trauma, Academic Medical Center, Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center

Department: 10 dedicated IR rooms
-
Shift: 10-hour days, start at 8:00 am, 40 hours/week
-
Call: Required 1 day/week (1600 until last case) and every 7th8th weekend (Friday 1600 to Monday morning until last case)

Weekend Rotation: Every 7th8th weekend on call

Orientation: Up to 2 weeks based on experience

EMR: Epic Encompass

Contract Type: Travel / Contract
Patient Types & Common Cases:
-
Stroke, cancer, tumors, peripheral and carotid interventions, IVC/SVC
-
Neuro: Stroke, ruptures, subdural fistulas, complex neuro cases (3 neurosurgeons on staff)
-
Body: Complex bleeds, oncology interventions (liver and other cancers), abscess drains, other advanced procedures
Required Qualifications:
-
ARRT(R) or RCIS certification required
-
BLS required
-
Minimum 2 years IR/Neuro IR experience at a Level I Trauma facility

Ability to scrub and assist in procedures, circulate, and operate back-end equipment
-
Familiarity with Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging systems; GE ultrasound units
Support in Department:
-
2 techs per case
-
Tech extenders (3 on staff; 2 per day for transport/inventory)
-
4 neuro providers (Neuro Radiologist + 3 surgeons)
-
5 body IR physicians
