Schedule:
- Mids: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Full-time, 12-hour shifts
Key Qualifications:
- RN License valid in Texas or compact state
- 1 year of experience in ER or a related nursing specialty preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), TNCC (AHA only)
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for a wide range of patient needs, including stroke, STEMI, cardiac arrest, geriatric, pediatric, renal, and trauma care
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols and monitor for responses
- Document patient status, histories, and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
- Provide education to patients and families, addressing complex social, cultural, and psychological needs
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Complete orientation and ongoing annual competency verifications; participate in residency programs or specific orientation, as applicable
