Auburn Homes and Services of Waconia, an Illuminus Community, offers assisted living, memory support, and short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care to older adults. Auburn Homes and Services has provided care in Carver County since 1928, and strives to empower residents to live with purpose and passion.
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs Human Resources related duties in the following areas: recruitment, new hire processing, on-boarding, employee relations, compensation & benefits, policies and procedures.
1. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
2. Creating on-boarding plans/work flows through document creation, exchanges and collection including all required hiring documents.
3. Maintaining digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, evaluations and personnel records
4. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
5. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
6. Reviews Handbook with team for updating annually. Recommends updates as appropriate.
7. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field preferred.
- Two years’ experience in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
