Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students by providing speech and language services in an onsite, collaborative school setting. This school-year contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and a supportive SLP-A to ensure every child's voice has the chance to shine.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active ASHA CCCs
- Missouri state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in a school environment, specifically with elementary-aged children
- Able to case manage a diverse caseload and lead IEP meetings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate with SLP-Assistants
Role Responsibilities:
- Case manage 21 students, developing and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Serve as primary speech service provider for 76 students (inclusive of case management caseload), with regular SLP-A support
- Deliver speech-language interventions in individual and/or group settings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' speech and language goals
- Supervise and coordinate with the onsite SLP-A to ensure continuity of services
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes according to school and state standards
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture centered on student growth
This contract position follows the school calendar (August 25, 2026 – May 27, 2027), with a consistent 35 hour/week schedule and the rewarding challenge of supporting elementary learners in person.
