Medical Receptionist – Pediatric Office
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Receptionist for a busy pediatric office. This role is ideal for someone with front desk experience in a high-volume medical setting who enjoys working with children, families, and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families warmly and manage front desk operations in a professional manner.
- Check patients in and out, verify demographics, and update insurance and registration information.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using an EMR and practice management system.
- Answer and route incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with referral coordination, patient forms, and general administrative support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, handle confidential information, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Support smooth patient flow by communicating with clinical staff and assisting with day-to-day office needs.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming for pediatric patients and families.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Office Administration program preferred
- 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist in a high-volume physician practice.
- Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong customer-service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay detail-oriented, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a pediatric or medical office setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
