An independent community pharmacy in Ogallala, NE is seeking a full-time pharmacist to support their growing prescription volume. This travel assignment offers an exciting opportunity to work in a close-knit, well-established team environment where the pharmacy has absorbed heightened patient demand due to several local closures. With plans to open a second location soon, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring continued quality care and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications safely and efficiently under manager supervision
- Counsel and advise patients on medication usage and regimens
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally
- Maintain stock levels and controlled substance records accurately
- Troubleshoot patient issues and clarify third-party insurance coverage
- Administer immunizations to community members
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Nebraska
- Minimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Liberty Rx software is beneficial
Schedule and Environment:
- Shift hours: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday; some weekend coverage as needed
- Collaborative work setting with 2 pharmacists on weekdays and 3 on Sundays
- Supported by a team of five highly experienced pharmacy technicians
This position can be a short-term travel contract with potential for temp-to-perm or permanent placement, and relocation support may be available for candidates interested in joining this growing community pharmacy.
