About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to lead the kitchen of a high-volume, casual dining restaurant specializing in American comfort food. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, consistency, and leadership to the culinary team while ensuring that every dish reflects our commitment to quality and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, line management, and service execution
- Develop, refine, and maintain menus centered around American comfort food classics with a modern touch
- Ensure all dishes meet standards for taste, presentation, and portion control
- Monitor and manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain cost efficiency
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local regulations
- Train, schedule, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Collaborate with management to create seasonal specials, promotional menus, and event offerings
- Control food and labor costs while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong background in American cuisine and comfort food classics
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food safety standards
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Creativity and passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience
