Job Summary
The Chef is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for clients while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and operational efficiency. This role involves menu planning, inventory management, and ensuring dietary accommodation for clients with specific needs. The ideal candidate has formal culinary training, a passion for excellence, and the ability to create well-balanced meals that contribute to client wellness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks daily.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Plan menus based on budget, client census, and seasonal ingredient availability.
- Manage food procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure dietary accommodations for clients with specific needs.
- Monitor and improve kitchen operations and client satisfaction.
- Uphold compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations, Joint Commission standards, HIPAA, and 42 CFR.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Formal culinary education and SERV Safe certification.
- Experience as a chef with diverse food styles.
- Knowledge of health department and Joint Commission sanitation regulations.
- Current TB test and CPR/First Aid certification or willing to complete
- If in recovery, a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety, with adherence to company UA/breathalyzer policy.
