Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver precise and compassionate radiation therapy to patients at a leading healthcare institution in Rome, NY. Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by physicians, adhering to National Cancer Institute regulations.
  • Operate and maintain state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment including Co-60, Linear Accelerator, and Simulator.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and interpret physician prescriptions for accurate treatment delivery.
  • Perform pretreatment localization by operating the Simulator to determine tumor size, position, and treatment planning.
  • Take radiographic films and patient photographs for portal verification.
  • Monitor and respond to radiation reactions, providing appropriate care and instructions.
  • Comply with all departmental and regulatory safety standards and policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive treatment records and port films.
  • Participate in departmental educational programs and coordinate patient care activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of an AAS or accredited AMA-certified Radiation Therapy program.
  • Current RRT license and NYS radiation therapy license.
  • Three to five years of related professional experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiation therapy equipment and safety protocols.
