Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level 3 NICU position requiring Cerner proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of neonatal nursing experience.
Details
- Level 3 NICU setting with attendance at high-risk deliveries required
- Patient population includes neonates 29–34 weeks and neonates greater than 34 weeks gestational age
- Required skills include blood glucose monitoring, hyperbilirubinemia management, insulin administration, and phototherapy
- Respiratory skills required: endotracheal tube suctioning, HFNC, respiratory distress syndrome management, tracheostomy management, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
- Preferred skills include administration of emergency medications including surfactants
- Cerner EMR experience is required — no exceptions
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every third weekend required
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required; NRP Advanced and PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
- Level 3 NICU experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required — no exceptions
- Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
