Are you passionate about keeping children safe? Do you want to make a meaningful impact in your community? The City of South Jordan is hiring Crossing Guards to assist children and pedestrians at designated school crossings.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure safe crossing for children on their way to and from school
  • Monitor traffic conditions and determine the best times for crossing
  • Set up and remove warning cones to mark school crossing zones
  • Educate children on traffic safety rules and proper crossing procedures
  • Report crossing violations and safety concerns to supervisors
  • Communicate with parents, school staff, and law enforcement as needed
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring safety at all times

Who You Are:

  • At least 18 years old and committed to child safety
  • Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail
  • Able to stand, walk, and react quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and professional, with strong communication skills
