MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is an innovative 84-bed inpatient psychiatric facility dedicated to providing compassionate, effective, and sustainable care to individuals experiencing psychiatric distress and co-occurring substance abuse. Position Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all clinical nursing operations and ensures the highest quality of behavioral health care is provided to adult and adolescent inpatients. Working collaboratively with program and medical leadership, the DON is responsible for operational planning, staff supervision, policy implementation, regulatory compliance, and program development in a trauma-informed care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and clinical supervision for the nursing department
- Collaborate with the Medical and Program Directors on service development and fiscal management
- Oversee staff scheduling, orientation, training, evaluations, and problem-solving
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Lead quality improvement efforts and promote patient safety
- Implement trauma-informed, recovery-oriented clinical practices
- Support crisis intervention, de-escalation strategies, and restraint reduction initiatives
- Serve as the acting leader in the absence of other senior managers
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license (unencumbered)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- At least 2 years of leadership experience
- Adult and adolescent psychiatric inpatient experience required
- CPR certification required
- Experience with crisis intervention and restraint reduction practices

Compensation
- All-Inclusive Rate: $88/hour
- Overtime Rate: $98/hour (after 40 hours/week)
- Holiday Rate: $98/hour
- Weekly Gross: $3,520 (based on 40 hours/week)
