Manufacturing Sanitation Associate

o Shift 2: 1:00 pm – 9:30pm-
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Associate to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for our operations, staff, and products. The ideal candidate is dependable, follows procedures closely, and takes pride in maintaining a clean workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, tools, and surfaces according to company and regulatory standards
- Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks as scheduled
- Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies
- Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support sanitation needs during shift transitions
- Maintain accurate sanitation logs and checklists
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or custodial work (manufacturing or food environment is a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of safety and chemical handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
