Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum High school graduate or equivalent, six months experience in an office setting.
  • Must be able to accurately type and be proficient in MS Office.
  • Preferred Some college, an Associates Degree or higher, one year of experience in a non-profit or similar setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.


Primary Functions:

  • Promptly and professionally answers the telephone and accurately routes calls or takes messages for staff.
  • Provides telephone crisis intervention for incoming calls when necessary.
  • Schedules client appointments.
  • Ensures lobby and kitchen areas are neat and clean.
  • Transports donations to appropriate area in a timely manner.
  • Accurately and in a timely manner types reports, documents, and other general correspondence. Makes and provides copies of typed materials, office forms, etc. as needed.
  • Accurately files documents as directed in accordance with an established filing system.
  • Professionally greets all visitors to the office.
  • Distributing and date stamping all mail
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in the database and provides regular updates as requested.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of regularly used supplies.
  • Assists in providing accurate information for required statistical reporting.
  • Assists with special projects or tasks as requested.
