Job Title: Pharmacy Fill Technician
Pay: $21-$22 an hr | Bi-weekly
Job Type: Onsite in Des Plaines, IL 60018

Pharmacy Fill Technician Overview:
- The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities: - Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)
- Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist
- Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
- Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times
- Package materials and products manually
- Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
- Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
- Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
- Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
- Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
- Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
Pharmacy Fill Technician Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk
- May be necessary to work extended hours as needed

- Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
Pharmacy Fill Technician Benefits:
