DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for leading and working with shift members on daily activities that include – stocking received inventory, product rotation, cycle counts, and other assigned duties.
Communicate daily with Warehouse Manager regarding priorities, productivity and issues to ensure efficient operations.
Assign priorities to team members and self to ensure that priorities are completed within the shift hours.
Motivate, teach, and hold team members accountable to known standards and positive reinforcement of correct behavior.
Work closely with other departments to resolve discrepancies identified in material receipts.
Assist in conducting cycle counts including variance research, root cause analysis, and reconciliation.
Identify process improvements and cost savings initiatives to improve operating efficiencies.
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Assist in maintaining warehouse equipment.
Ensure safety of all employees, and company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained.
Exemplify temperament under stress.
Proper stock rotation of all items.
Maintains integrity, and accuracy of all documents.
Delivers supplies and equipment to departments & utilizes WMS.
Leads personnel including making recommendations on performance, work allocation and problem resolution decisions, with a sense of urgency & proactive approach.
Train and develop team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Operates Material Handling equipment in a safe manner, ensures that equipment is safe & working order. Reports all damage to equipment/building to Maintenance.
Ensure Quality & Food Safety training for team members, as well as overall employee safety.

Requirements
High School or GED
2years of receiving/storage experience in a food products environment
2 years in a lead role
PC skills Microsoft Office and Outlook
Strong communication, organizational and follow-through skills
Ability to operate Warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks & Cherry picker)
Ability for work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
