Metropolitan Medical Center is seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This position is responsible for managing the front desk operations, providing excellent customer service to patients, and ensuring efficient scheduling, registration, and communication within the clinic.
The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Register new patients and update existing patient records in the EMR system
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances
• Provide patients with required forms and ensure documentation is completed
• Coordinate patient flow with medical assistants and providers
• Handle patient inquiries regarding appointments, referrals, and services
• Manage front desk communication with providers and clinical staff
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
• Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining medical records
• Support front desk workflow in a high-volume clinic environment
