Customer Service Representative
Carrollton, TX 75006
$18-23/hr
M-F 8AM - 5PM
100% onsite, temp to perm, excellent benefits once converted to perm
RPC's client is a growing industrial repair company dedicated to ensuring optimal performance and efficiency for plants and manufacturers across the nation. Our customers include plants within the food & beverage sector, vehicle manufacturing, aggregates, oil rigs, and many more. We have 3 repair divisions which are capable of repairing any industrial equipment within a manufacturing facility. With a relentless commitment to excellence, we specialize in providing top-notch industrial repair services that keep operations running smoothly for our clients.
They are looking for outgoing individuals with strong communication skills to join our customer service team. As a customer service rep, you will be in communication with customers, giving regular status updates, following up on purchase orders/approvals, and scheduling pick-ups as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for outstanding customer service and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to provide tracking updates, status reports, and general assistance
- Build positive relationships with customers by being friendly, helpful, and responsive—ensuring a great service experience from start to finish
- Process incoming repair units and associated purchase orders (POs) using SAP
- Provide customers with repair status updates using SAP
- Support the customer service team by handling day-to-day coordination once units arrive
- Assist with creating routing sheets and coordinating with drivers for pickups and deliveries
- Help de-escalate and resolve customer issues with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure clear internal communication with sales, logistics, and repair teams
- Contribute to improving service processes and ensuring a smooth experience for every customer
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environment (not a requirement)
- Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP system) – must be comfortable navigating orders, PO processing, and tracking workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be professional, clear, and responsive over phone and email
- Proven experience in de-escalating customer concerns and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy
- Strong organizational skills – able to manage multiple priorities such as incoming units, PO tracking, and driver coordination
- Ability to create and manage routing sheets and coordinate with internal drivers and logistics
- Familiarity with shipment tracking systems and providing timely, accurate updates to customers
- Self-starter who can work independently and manage daily operations without needing constant oversight
- High attention to detail and follow-through – ensuring every step is tracked from unit arrival to customer follow-up
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a mindset focused on delivering solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
