Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations and support our teams through strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to Safety, Quality, Delivery, People, and Cost. This role is responsible for overseeing production, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a positive, organized work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to production employees and team leads in support of department and facility operations.
- Actively promote all company policies with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Promptly address performance issues and support employee development.
- Plan and schedule operations within assigned areas, including personnel schedules, logs, reports, purchasing, and equipment repairs.
- Develop and manage production plans such as load sheets, scrap reporting, routers, Axiom entries, dashboards, and work orders.
- Lead NCR, CAR, SOP, and efficiency projects, including capital budgeting and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales, MRP, Manufacturing, and other functions to achieve department and company goals.
- Maintain well‑organized, efficient, and safe work areas.
- Foster a positive work environment through regular communication and timely response to employee concerns.
- Contribute to departmental and organizational goals through teamwork and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; two‑ or four‑year college degree strongly preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in a metal manufacturing or operational environment preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated success improving efficiency and meeting operational objectives.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective problem‑solving and project‑management abilities.
- Experience supervising employees, evaluating performance, and using positive employee‑relations practices.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead others.
- Skilled in managing projects, coordinating cross‑functional resources, and making timely decisions.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
