Controls Engineer | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI/SCADA systems.
• Develop and implement control strategies for manufacturing processes.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and controls system failures.
• Design and integrate industrial automation solutions, including robotics and vision systems.
• Lead the commissioning and startup of new equipment and production lines.
• Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics and control system documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Experience with industrial robotics, servo motion control, or vision systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues in automated systems.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and experience implementing safety control systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial robotics or vision systems.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or SCADA integration.
• Proficiency in data analytics for OEE, downtime, or process optimization.
• Project management experience for small to medium automation initiatives.
