Role: Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant
Hiring Type: Contract- Hire
Location: Washington D.C
Office Schedule: 5 days a week for 6 months, upon converting to a perm employees, hybrid
Pay: $25 - $28/hr
Salary on conversion : $50,000 - $60,000

Our client, a prestigious, well-known Non-Profit is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Accountant to their team. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity.
Requirements
- Min of 2 years of Full Cycle Accounts Receivable
- Experience with G/L recs.
- BS, Business related highly preferred
- Non-Profit Industry experience highly preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Processing and preparation of daily cash receipts, data entry for Membership, Subscriptions, Publications, Annual meeting transactions, and handling inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Administer all aspects of the accounts payable/cash disbursement system including recording of invoices, tracking, review, approval, and payment.
- Fast learner, detail oriented, high accuracy, experience with G/L recs.
- Reconcile AR Subledger to GL-they would own it. Not a lot of billing
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analyses as directed (bank, subsidiary, general ledger, prepaid, etc.) to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Prepare journal entries with proper accounting classifications in accordance with generally accepted accounting
