Adecco Staffing is hiring for a Tax Reporting Manager in Canton! This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Shift: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday, WFH on Fridays

Pay: $100,000-$140,000 + potential 20% yearly bonus

Position Summary:
The Tax Manager plays a key leadership role within the Finance department, reporting directly to the Treasurer, EVP of Finance, Investments & HR. This position is responsible for overseeing the tax team and ensuring the company remains compliant with all federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements.

The Tax Manager collaborates across all levels of the organization and works closely with external stakeholders including public accounting firms, tax authorities, and third-party service providers.


Key Responsibilities:

This role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual federal and non-federal income tax provisions for financial reporting.

  • Oversee preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns and estimates for the consolidated group, including taxability assessments related to new entities (subsidiaries, LLCs, etc.).

  • Prepare annual tax forecasts for the organization and its subsidiaries.

  • Coordinate communications and responses with tax authorities at all levels.

  • Lead the premium tax return process using TriTech and OPTins software; maintain records of Guaranty Fund Assessments.

  • Manage and review all municipal tax filings.

  • Perform quarterly reconciliations for Guaranty Fund Assessment and Premium Tax Receivable accounts; reconcile state tax withholding accounts for Third Party Sick Pay monthly.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Third Party Benefits, ensuring compliance with all filings and responding to inquiries from tax authorities and internal departments.

  • Prepare and electronically file information returns for Puerto Rico and serve as the company’s primary contact for all Puerto Rico tax matters.

  • Manage 1099 reporting processes, including coordination of data collection, review, and filing for various 1099 forms (e.g., 1099-R, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC); lead communication with third-party provider (SOVOS).

  • Oversee quarterly tax exhibits, estimated tax payments, and annual tax budget reporting.

  • Conduct tax research as needed and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.

  • Lead tax software implementation projects.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience.

  • Strong background in public accounting and/or the insurance industry highly preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification.

  • Advanced degree in Taxation.

  • Experience with tax software tools (e.g., TriTech, OPTins, SOVOS).

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
