The Assistant Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef is a leadership position within our organization that provides direct support to both the Kitchen Manager/Chef and Managing Partner in their efforts to maintain efficient restaurant operations. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will participate in direct oversight of all BOH functions and maintain a significant role in mentoring a strong BOH team.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to perform a wide variety of tasks while enforcing all company policies and procedures. All our leaders are expected to lead by example, promote a strong positive culture and demonstrate an eagerness to grow and develop with our company.
Requisite necessary skills include organization, communication (internally & with vendors), inventory management, tech savvy, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
THE BASICS

Must be an ambassador of our mission and core values

Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards to eliminate cross-contamination on the front line

Food Manager Protection Certification

Accurately and faithfully completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance lists

Oversee, implement and rollout all operations/new recipes/menus/training

Ability to delegate, provide direction and see tasks to completion

Willingness to learn and mentor others in gained knowledge

Effective communication skills

Enforce all policies, coach all procedures, and foster a positive culture for all team members
