The Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications and treatments in assigned area.

Responsibilities
•Maintains accurate records of medication and treatments given. Be alert and active in supporting facility’s commitment to safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents’ rights.•Set up and pass oral medications as prescribed.•Make proper chart entries regarding residents’ medications.•Take and record residents’ temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rate.•Stock and prepare medication cart for rounds and always observe safe and secure practices.•Observe and notify nurse of any negative drug effects or interactions and assist in resident care emergencies.
Qualifications
• Valid state CNA or home care aid certification.
• 1-2 years working in a memory care facility preferable.
• Valid CPR/First aid card.
